WHAT IS GRIT SUMMER CAMP?

GRIT Summer Camp is a unique combination of learning, community, friendship, and fitness!

Children who attend our camp will experience a blend of CrossFit workouts and curriculum-based exploration with our GRIT CrossFit Coach. Your child will receive quality guidance and structure each and every day.

Our team is highly certified and very enthusiastic about what they do.

This is an in-person, screen-free camp (no phones, laptops, tablets, or gaming devices). At GRIT Windsor, we truly value the character that face to face interaction builds, and we fully believe in the necessity of real-life socialization between adults and children alike. We promote a screen-free environment because we know that it creates a more engaging atmosphere for our youth, and pushes them out of their comfort zone in social circles - all an important part of growing up! :)

*Early drop off (8:00am) and late pick up (4:00pm) available upon request

WHERE?

GRIT Summer Camp is run out of Windsor CrossFit located at 1106 Laramie St, Tecumseh, ON

WHO?

Activities for GRIT Summer Camp are developed for children between the ages of 8 and 12 years old

COST?

$279+tax for the week and $229+tax for each additional sibling that attends from the same family. Early drop off/late pickup is $10+tax per day per family

FITNESS SKILL/WORKOUT BLOCKS

Fitness skill blocks are age appropriate ways to introduce your child into fitness in a fun and engaging way. Under the guidance of our qualified CrossFit Trainers, your child will learn the foundations of basic movement patterns (squat, press, pull, lift) using a variety of objects and modes. Workouts are team oriented, age-appropriate, and can be scaled to all ability levels. We promise to take care of your kiddos and to show them that health and fitness is rewarding and fun!

WORKSHOP/ACTIVITY BLOCKS
Our engaging, hands-on workshops vary each day and can include: science experiments, arts and crafts, health and wellness, life skills, etc. We seek to create a fun team atmosphere, develop confidence within your child, and help to introduce them to new experiences and hobbies. All of our workshops are curriculum-based and developed to be age appropriate.

MEET THE TEAM

Coach Maya has been working with GRIT Windsor for seven years! She is an incredible role model for the youth she works with on a daily basis and we are proud to call her GRIT Head Coach.

Coach Chloe is a CF-L1 Coach at Windsor CrossFit, specializing in our GRIT Windsor Youth CrossFit classes. She has been coaching for over 3 years now and has run several of our GRIT Summer Camps.

Paige Riberdy Has spent the last 5 years in the GRIT Program, participating in classes, volunteering for many events and camps and has recently started coaching the GRIT Tots Class. Paige is always willing to lend a helping hand and really shows us what it means to have GRIT!

Tessa Sinasac Has grown up surrounded by CrossFit and has developed a passion for the sport, as well as helping others. Currently she attends classes, volunteers and participates in events and is one of the Coaches of our Tots Class. Tessa is well versed in athletics and academics outside of the gym and is always willing to work hard for what she’s passionate about.
