Windsor CrossFit is Windsor-Essex County’s first official and dedicated CrossFit facility. We provide a superior health & fitness program that produces unrivaled results and encourages us to reach our fullest potential in every facet of human performance and life.

At Windsor CrossFit we take great pride in consistently delivering world class training. This elite training translates to superior health and superior fitness matched by no other fitness program or facility in this region. We accomplish this utilizing a variety of methods. The first would be through CrossFit’s programming. Numerous cases of empirically driven evidence show that CrossFit’s methods of constantly varied, functional movements executed at high intensity are producing some of the most fit, healthy and athletic people in the world. Another very important aspect of WCF is the concept of community (a concept that cannot be replicated at your average ‘Globo gym’, simply by design).

Aside from providing individuals with a superior fitness program yielding unprecedented and unmatched results, we create an amazing and dedicated community out of our members. ‘The struggle’ that is the CrossFit Workout of the Day (WOD) bring our members together. A strong sense of comradely is shared by each of our members throughout their CrossFit experience. Our members bonds are further strengthened through the encouragement, support, passion and genuine care they display to one another before, during and after each and every workout they conquer. When we take this formula of great programming, a community of determined and passionate individuals and add on the healthy competition (the idea of CrossFit turning fitness into a sport) displayed in each WOD you simply cannot avoid the superior results, lasting friendships, and the all around fantastic and motivating atmosphere consistently seen at Windsor CrossFit.

It is our mission to provide effective, efficient, and elite training. We will provide this in an environment dedicated to striking a unique balance of humility, service, caring, attitude and professionalism. This environment yields unparalleled results, excellence, top athletic performance, elite fitness and, most importantly, superior health of our athletes over broad time. We will achieve all the above while simultaneously creating and maintaining a dedicated community of individuals that support, encourage and celebrate one-another’s triumphs and successes throughout their fitness journeys.

In the words of Mortal Combat…CHOOSE YOUR DESTINY! Here are the different paths offered here at Windsor CrossFit:

FITNESS: Your goal is to be an overall fit and healthy individual. You’re someone whose interested in looking better, feeling better, eating better, and being part of an amazing community of like-minded people. You aren’t concerned about competition, lifting crazy heavy weights or doing highly skilled movements (as of now, or ever for that matter). Your goal is to learn more about CrossFit’s foundational movements, gain strength, have more energy and mobility for your day to day living, and improve your overall health. It’s all about looking good and feeling good!

ATHLETE: Your goals are to perform at a level that is quite challenging. You want to be pushed outside of your comfort zone and you also want to look and feel athletic. You’re always looking to improve on your last personal bests and learn new skills/techniques or improve on existing ones. You want to acquire a great deal of knowledge and understanding of the CrossFit foundational movements and utilize these movements to reach specific physical or performance goals. You don’t necessarily like competition, or lifting very heavy weights/performing highly skilled gymnastics movements that are involved with being a competitor. It’s “You vs. You” and you want to look and feel better than you ever imagined was possible without the pressure.

COMPETITOR: You see yourself being involved in CrossFit competitions, Regionals, or even THE CROSSFIT GAMES! You’re naturally competitive and love competing with others because it’s the only thing that will push you the hardest. You want to become extremely knowledgeable with all of the movements found in CrossFit and be able to perform them at high intensity and with nearly perfect form, even under fatigue! You want to constantly work with heavy loads on a consistent basis. You want to be a beast!

World-Class Fitness in 100 Words:

Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat. Practice and train major lifts: Deadlift, clean, squat, presses, C&J, and snatch. Similarly, master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to handstand, pirouettes, flips, splits, and holds. Bike, run, swim, row, etc, hard and fast. Five or six days per week mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy. Keep workouts short and intense. Regularly learn and play new sports.
